BIAXIAL FABRIC (0°/90°)
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This biaxial fabric is engineered with continuous roving oriented in both the 0° and 90° directions, providing enhanced strength and durability. The weight of each layer can be customized based on specific requirements, with options to incorporate a chopped strand layer (ranging from 50g/m² to 600g/m²) or non-woven fabrics (from 15g/m² to 100g/m²). Polyester stitching yarn is used to bind the layers together, and the fabric's area weight can range from 300g/m² to 1700g/m², with widths available from 5 inches to 120 inches.
This versatile fabric is compatible with a range of resins, including polyester, vinylester, epoxy, and phenolic resins, making it suitable for a variety of applications. It is primarily used in industries such as wind energy, sports, boat building, automotive, and transportation. The fabric's stitch-bonded construction, which combines continuous roving into a single composite reinforcement, can be produced with or without a mat layer. It is ideal for manufacturing components such as wind turbine blades, marine panels, snowboards, and truck or trailer panels.
