SURFACE MAT / TISSUE-Filament winding process
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Surface Mat/Tissue is used extensively in production of FRP products used in corrosive environments. Surface Mat are non-woven materials, composed of uniformly distributed glassfiber strands. They are designed to add reinforcement at the surface of a laminate and provide a smooth, resin-rich, durable surface. The surface layer is an aesthetic enhancement and corrosion resistant for finished parts, such as chemical tanks, pipes and equipment, and the weather-ability of wind generators and turbine blades. Surface mats are applicable to FRP molding processes such as hand lay-up, Filament winding, vacuum injection and press molding, etc. We provide two types of veils: E-glass and C-glass. Both of them are mainly applicable to hand lay-up process, Filament winding process and others.
Products code as S-HM are suitable for use in hand lay-up molding processes, while products code as S-SM can be used in filament winding processes.
Compared with S-HM, the binder content of S-SM is higher, which can better bond with the resin.S-SM is mainly used for winding pipe and tank products, which can improve the corrosion resistance and compressive strength of the surface of the product, prevent leakage and extend the service life.
